Introduction
Barbara Jean Blank was born in Jacksonville, Florida. Before entering the world of wrestling, she was a bikini model. As Barbie Blank, she modeled for Hawaiian Tropic and Venus Swimwear. Based upon her modeling, she was granted an interview with the WWE and in 2006 went to work for their minor-league affiliate, Ohio Valley Wrestling.
Biography
Born as Barbara Jean “Barbie” Blank, Kelly Kelly was born on January 15, 1987 in Jacksonville, Florida. Other than being a professional wrestler, she is a dancer, model and wrestling valet. She works for World Wrestling Entertainment, in its RAW brand. Despite having no experience in wrestling, she was contacted by WWE through her modeling agency. Kelly Kelly was invited to WWE’s developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling, where she moved up to the main roster and worked on several shows. She first became a ring announcer and referee, and later a wrestler.
In 2006, Barbie Blank debuted on the WWE’s ECW brand, finally using the name “Kelly Kelly.” It was the first episode of the show, with her being the youngest Diva on the WWE roster. She was introduced performing a striptease, which eventually became a weekly segment known as “Kelly’s Exposé.” Her on-screen boyfriend, Mike Knox, wasn’t too pleased with it so he told her to stay on the ring with him, in order for him to keep an eye on her. This led to Kelly Kelly becoming his valet, and she soon got involved in his feuds. Notable among these is the one against Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman. Kelly has also shown a fondness for CM Punk, causing Knox to become jealous. This ended up with him fighting Punk over Kelly.
Due to a scripted injury, Kelly Kelly was removed from television for six weeks. Her return was marked by a promo announcing her newly single status, and also by joining Brooke and Layla in the spin-off segment, “Extreme Exposé.” It was dissolved eventually, with Kelly Kelly being drafted to the RAW brand in 2008. There, she teamed up with Mickie James, against Layla and Jillian Hall. She has since competed in several tag team matches. However, she soon decided to star in an online WWE drama series, called “Top Rope Theater,” with Mickie James, Cryme Tyme, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, and IRS.
